Coaching & Support

One-to-one help for film teachers, and practical consultation for departments and schools.

Teaching film is often a solo job. You plan the unit, shoot with the class, mark the work and start again. Coaching gives you a second pair of eyes — someone who has taught the course, examined the assessments, and hit the same problems in a real classroom.

Sessions run online. Bring a unit plan, a student draft, an assessment task, or a question about how to sequence a term. We work on what is in front of you, not a generic curriculum.

How the work is arranged

One-to-one online coaching
A single session on one problem: a lesson you are about to teach, a student film that has stalled, or feedback you are unsure how to write.
Online · one session
Department and school consultation
A working session with a film department or a school leadership team. Course structure, equipment, timetabling, staffing and assessment planning.
Online or in person · by arrangement
Short-term help
A small block of sessions across one term — for teaching the course for the first time, taking over a department, or getting students to an assessment deadline.
A few sessions · fixed period
Ongoing support
Regular sessions across the school year for teachers who want a steady point of contact rather than one-off advice.
Optional · termly
